Wind Lock's Wind Devel 2 Screws for CI, EIFS and Stucco

Today's post is about Wind Lock's Wind Devil 2 fasteners for the Continuous
 Insulation, EIFS and Stucco exterior wall systems.

The fasteners are actually a two component mechanical fastening system which is comprised of  a screw and a 2 inch diameter proprietary polymer based (PB) washer. The washer has a patented " bullseye" with  closure arms that prevent accidental backing out of the screws once installed.

Light Gauge Steel Hip Connector

This weeks post : We are going to introduce a light gauge steel connector called  a Hip Connector. There is a company called  The Steel Network that manufactures a clip that is used
used in the cold formed steel industry to connect the roof rafters together. Normally , roof rafters are connected to the ridge beam. When  using wood ,the rafters are nailed. In the light gauge steel network, they are screwed into place with steel  clips as you can see from  the  photo .

TSN's clip is available  in 6 sizes. 4inch, 6 inch, 8 inch, 10 inch , 12inch  and  14 inch.
The clips are made with a  135 degree angle. They are made of Grade 50 type H Steel.

Wind Lock Stealth Access Door

Todays post is about the  Stealth Access Door  manufactured by Wind Lock. Wind Lock  was the first manufacturer who used the term "Stealth " to describe their unique ceiling access door. The stealth door is manufactured out of  GFRG which  stands for Glass Fiber Reinforced Gypsum. Contractors usually just call them Fiberglass access doors. They are used for ceiling applications in drywall ( gyp-board ) ceilings. The installation is easy . The framing layout for these doors must be done prior to hanging the drywall on the ceiling. The stealth doors are available  both round and rectangular sizes with an optional hinge for the rectangular doors. How to install a stealth access door. They rectangular doors come in commercial sizes :
9 x9 , 12 x 12 , 16 x 16 , 18 x 18 , 24 x 24
The residential non hinged doors are available  in 22 x 30 and  30 x 30
The round doors are available in  12 inch , 16 inch , 18 inch  and  24 inch  diameters.
