Our first product is  the putty stick model 66345 by Rectorseal. Metacaulk® Intumescent Putty Sticks is a moldable non-curing one component fire-rated material for through-penetration firestop systems.  Metacaulk® Putty will intumesce when heated, forming an insulating char.  In the event of a fire, Metacaulk® Putty will prevent the spread of flames, smoke, gas, and water through penetration openings.  Metacaulk® Putty is applied by hand.  Mixing is never required and no special skills are necessary for installation.  

Metacaulk® Putty is rated for up to 3 hours in accordance with the ASTM E 814. UL 1479 and ULC/CAM4-S115M test standards.

FF Systems F2 Access Door with Factory Applied Drywall Insert

GFRC access doors

What is a  GFRC access door?  It is a fiberglass reinforced cement door. These are weatherproof exterior doors.

New Invisible Plumbing Access Doors FF Systems F2DF

There is a new Access door  manufacturer in the United States. They are called FF Systems, located in Florida.  Today I will be speaking about their F2DF model. The  FF Systems F2DF access panel consists of a welded aluminum frame and is available with 1/2" (12.7 mm) or 5/8" (15.9 mm) inlayed drywall and two latches.
Both an outer and an inner frame assembly consists of high grade aluminum which is bonded with a special welding process. For sizes 12” x 12” (305 mm x 305 mm) and up the access panels are equipped with a safety-system ( used in ceilings) to prevent accidental opening. This safety system must be reattached if the hatch is removed.
The reveal of 1/16 of an inch (1.59 mm) is visible between the outer frame and door hatch. The concealed snap locks open the access panel when pressure is applied to the spring loaded latch side ( no tools needed to open)

Ebuildingproducts is proud to announce that we now carry the industry's first energy efficient roof hatch. The roof hatch is called  "Diamond" for its new Diamondgrip  flashing that allows you to install the curb membrane without tools. It is manufactured by JL Industries.

The Diamond Grip Roof Hatch is also energy efficient. It comes  with a 1 inch thick polyisocyanurate insulation in both the curb and the lid,  providing an R-6 thermal rating. It has a beautiful textured baked on powder coat white enamel paint that reflects the heat caused by the sun. 

Due to the new construction techniques, the Diamond roof hatches cost less to ship because they are  17% lighter than previous models. 

New Spring design allowing easier one handed operation while on a ladder.
