Fire Rated Floor Access Doors are available from Acudor. They have a model FRFD. This door has a 2 hour rating. The Acudor FRFD series fire rated floor doors are designed to maintain the fire rating of a 2-hour floor-ceiling assembly in interior applications. The angle frame construction with Anchor flange is designed to be cast into concrete. The flush aluminium diamond plate cover is provided with a U.L. listed 165-degree fusible link for automatic closing and latching in the event of smoke or fire.

   If there were such a thing as a FAD in construction, this would be it! They go by several names.
Stealth access door, GFRG doors, Fiberglass reinforced access door. They are all the same door.

They come in two basic styles. There is a lift up panel for ceiling application and there is a hinged style for wall applications. This style has a lock and key.

New Invisible Plumbing Access Doors FF Systems F2DF

There is a new Access door  manufacturer in the United States. They are called FF Systems, located in Florida.  Today I will be speaking about their F2DF model. The  FF Systems F2DF access panel consists of a welded aluminum frame and is available with 1/2" (12.7 mm) or 5/8" (15.9 mm) inlayed drywall and two latches.
Both an outer and an inner frame assembly consists of high grade aluminum which is bonded with a special welding process. For sizes 12” x 12” (305 mm x 305 mm) and up the access panels are equipped with a safety-system ( used in ceilings) to prevent accidental opening. This safety system must be reattached if the hatch is removed.
The reveal of 1/16 of an inch (1.59 mm) is visible between the outer frame and door hatch. The concealed snap locks open the access panel when pressure is applied to the spring loaded latch side ( no tools needed to open)

New JL Industries RHDG energy efficient roof hatches

Ebuildingproducts is proud to announce that we now carry the industry's first energy efficient roof hatch. The roof hatch is called  "Diamond" for its new Diamondgrip  flashing that allows you to install the curb membrane without tools. It is manufactured by JL Industries.

The Diamond Grip Roof Hatch is also energy efficient. It comes  with a 1 inch thick polyisocyanurate insulation in both the curb and the lid,  providing an R-6 thermal rating. It has a beautiful textured baked on powder coat white enamel paint that reflects the heat caused by the sun. 

Due to the new construction techniques, the Diamond roof hatches cost less to ship because they are  17% lighter than previous models. 

New Spring design allowing easier one handed operation while on a ladder.

* CURB: 14 gauge galvannealed steel single wall with Diamond grip counterflashing. 

* COVER: 14 gauge galvannealed steel formed and welded with 22 gauge liner tested to support a live load of 40 psf ( pound per square foot ).
